Good Food, Great People, Phenomenal Projects

Refined Renovation, Milwaukee NARI, NARI

Last week we attended the yearly Wisconsin Remodeler Awards hosted by Milwaukee NARI. (The largest and most active NARI branch in the country, by the way.) Every year, local Milwaukee remodelers can submit exceptional projects which are then judged by Minnesota NARI professionals.

This year, we were honored to accept one silver and two gold awards for our three submitted projects. It was a great night full of great conversation and astounding projects. We are eternally lucky to be surrounded by so much talent, and we can’t wait to see what happens next year! Here are the projects for 2015. What do you think?

Basement $50,000 to $100,000 – Gold

A cold basement became a warm retreat for sports fans and microbeer connoisseurs with in-floor heat, a new bar, and ample comfortable seating. New windows and insulation keep this room warm no matter what, and decorations from all over Europe complete the ‘pub’ feel of this space. Click here for the full story.

Residential Kitchen $100,001 to $150,000 – Silver

The homeowner had grown up here but by the time she bought it from her parents, many areas needed updates. A full gut of the kitchen allowed for some small layout changes and a large island. Elsewhere in the home, small changes like painting balusters and mantlepieces made a large impact. Click here for the full story.

Entire House $250,000 to $500,ooo – Gold

This family loved their Whitefish Bay neighborhood but their small home was not meeting their needs. A full home renovation was planned with a gut of the first floor to open the small disconnected room and the addition of a second story master suite with extra office.
